Gini Wijnaldum has been talking more about his move from Newcastle to Liverpool.

The £25 million deal was completed on Friday afternoon and the player will now immediately board a flight across the Atlantic to join up with his new teammates on their tour of the United States.

Before catching his flight he’s had enough time to share some thoughts on his move with the official site (cited on Echo).

In his comments, he called Jurgen Klopp a “great man” and praised Liverpool’s history.

“I’m really excited because Liverpool is a big club with a great history and it’s always a dream to play for as big a club as Liverpool,” he said.

“[Jurgen Klopp seems] a great man – from the outside – because I don’t know how he works yet and I have to work with him.

“But] I always love to watch him, his passion as a trainer, I like how he enjoys the game. He gives something back to the group [with his passion] so I look forward to working with him.”
