Benteke has still not agreed personal terms with Palace, according to boss

Christian Benteke is yet to agree personal terms over his proposed move to Crystal Palace, according to Eagles boss Alan Pardew.

“He’ll have his medical today but personal terms have to be done. We’ve agreed everything with Liverpool,” he said (via SkySports).

We accepted a bid of £27 million up front plus £5 million in add-ons yesterday.

Pardew also admitted he’s always like Benteke as a player, and even tried to sign him whilst in charge of Newcastle a couple of seasons ago.

“Benteke has a great pedigree. He is someone I know very well as I wanted to take him to Newcastle,” he admitted.It just didn’t work out for him at Liverpool.”

Palace play Spurs at White Hart Lane this weekend, but the Benteke deal will not be completed in time for the Belgian striker to participate.

According to the Guardian, he will make his debut against Blackpool in the League Cup next Tuesday.
