Iconic sign reinstalled in Anfield tunnel as finishing touches applied to Main Stand

The ‘This is Anfield’ sign has been hung up in the players tunnel less than 48 hours before the visit of Leicester City in the Premier League.

According to the Echo, the sign was put back in its rightful place just before Klopp and the team visited Anfield for the first time since last season.

The Main Stand will be open to the public for the first time this weekend, with work now almost complete on the expansion. It has taken the ground’s capacity to just shy of 55,000.

There is still work to do in the bowels of the stadium, and as such both sides will be using temporary dressing rooms until around Christmas time.
