Sturridge injury scare – striker should be fit despite missing training

Daniel Sturridge should be fit for Liverpool vs Hull City this weekend, despite missing a day of training with an injury scare.

He was taken off against Chelsea after an hour, and although Klopp insisted in was tactical, it seems there might have been an element of “playing safe” with regards to a niggle.

The England striker headed straight down the tunnel and didn’t speak to the media after the game. Origi took his place, but we didn’t look quite as sharp in our attack with him on the pitch.

“He had a few issues after the game, he didn’t train but he trained yesterday (Wednesday). Now we have another two days until Saturday and we will see if he will train all the time and is ready for the game,” said Klopp. (Echo)

Just because Daniel is fit, it doesn’t mean he will start. Klopp has often preferred Firmino in attack – but the Brazilian missed the game against Chelsea with a knock.

Lallana is almost certain to start, so only two of Coutinho, Mane, Firmino, and Sturridge will probably be on the pitch.

Who would you pick?
