Coutinho gives endearing interview – says Liverpool “feels like home”

Philippe Coutinho has said Liverpool feels like home and he is happy and settled.

In an endearing exclusive interview with the Echo, Coutinho opened up about life off the pitch. Some of the most revealing insight when he spoke about the city of Liverpool and his family.

“Liverpool feels like my home,” Coutinho said.

“I feel happy, settled and comfortable here with the city and the people.

“The supporters are very nice. Hearing people singing my name, it inspires me. The fans here make me feel amazing.

“They give all the players confidence. They are there for us in every game.”

The Brazilian has spent a life on the road in footballing terms. He came through the academy at Brazilian giants Vasco da Gama then made the move to Inter Milan in 2008 when he was just 18.

Rodgers and the transfer committee eventually snapped him up for around £8.5 million in January 2013. It was Rodgers’ first January transfer window at the club.

He has been in devasting form so far this season, bagged three league goals in six games and a further one in a League Cup tie with Derby County earlier this month.
