Klopp’s ‘F***ing Hell’ moment on Clyne/Coutinho rumours brilliant

Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp has absolutely no time for B.S.

That much has been abundantly clear since he took over a year back and he proved it again when asked about rumours linking Nathaniel Clyne to Barcelona and Coutinho to Real Madrid…

Firstly, he appreciated the compliment, but suggested that after nine promising performances in the Premier League, such speculation is ludicrous – especially as it’s the January transfer window next when we’re obviously not going to part with our best players.

“That’s a really good sign!” the boss told the Echo when asked about the prospective interest.

“Only the big clubs, yes?

“A few months ago it was like ‘he will go to Aston Villa and try to bring them back to the Premier League’.

“What can I say? It’s better that they talk about Real Madrid and Barcelona.

“How many matches have we played? Nine? ****ing hell, nine matches and we talk about all this stuff.

“Do they want to get them in winter or the next window? Do they think they can buy Clyney in winter? Come on. It’s nice but not important.”

Nobody of significance will be leaving Liverpool this winter, that much is for certain.

We might loan out some fringe players to get them more game-time, but we expect very little business to be done, just as it was last January. Then, we loaned in Steven Caulker (remember?!) and bought Marko Grujic for the following summer.

The key to Liverpool’s progression is keeping our best players and adding the odd top quality addition when necessary. Barcelona and Real Madrid can keep sniffing – we back Klopp to keep his stars.
