England eased to a 3-0 victory over Scotland last night, with Liverpool stars in the goals.
Daniel Sturridge gave Gareth Southgate’s side the lead early on, heading in excellently from Kyle Walker’s cross.
The forward cannot get in Liverpool’s team right now, but is his country’s most gifted natural finisher and proved it versus the auld enemy.
Normally, we’re nervous watching Sturridge play for England as he’s often returned from international duty injured, but as he needs minutes – we were pleased to see him on the field last night.
Adam Lallana does get in Jurgen Klopp’s side; in fact – he’s one of the first players on the team-sheet – and the playmaker bagged himself a header as well.
Our midfielder was the Man of the Match at Wembley and scored a very similar goal to his Liverpool team-mate’s, nodding in from Danny Rose’s cross.
Most importantly though, none were injured! Hopefully they’ll get through the Spain friendly unscathed and return to Melwood fit and raring to go for the Southampton clash.
