Liverpool could pay 10-goal Brazilian’s £21m release clause

Liverpool are again being linked with Anderson Talisca, the 23-year-old Brazilian attacker currently on loan at Besiktas.

Talisca is contracted to Benfica in Portugal, but has scored ten goals on loan in Turkey this term.

However, his loan club cannot afford his £21m fee release clause and Besiktas president Fikret Orman has claimed a permanent deal will not be done as a result.

“He is a great kid and the fans love him but we will not be able to activate his €25 million [£21 million] release clause,” he said.

As a result, Turkish outlet Takvim have claimed Liverpool are looking to pounce and take Talisca to Merseyside instead.

He likes playing at no.10 and provides a physical presence to the final third.

But we honestly do not believe this article in the slightest. Firstly, Talisca is an immobile, flair player who doesn’t suit Jurgen Klopp’s offensive style at all.

We need quick, interchangeable players for our front-three positions and Talisca doesn’t suit the bill.
