70,000 Australian Liverpool fanatics turned out to watch Jurgen Klopp’s men inside the ANZ Stadium on Wednesday and produced a truly special rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone.
The support of those down under was as passionate as ever and helped make the team’s friendly against Sydney FC a great way to not only help celebrate the club’s 125th anniversary but to top off a successful end to the Premier League campaign.
What it perhaps didn’t need was the kind of coverage that saw comedian Aaron Chen give what turned out to be a purposely under-educated assessment of the game from pitch-side.
On first glance and not knowing it’s in fact his job, it comes across as an incredibly embarrassing attempt to talk football. On second glance and knowing it’s his job, it’s pretty much the same.
