Naby Keita turns down Barcelona for Liverpool, Virgil van Dijk only wants Liverpool over Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal – and now – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has rejected a Chelsea switch in the hope Liverpool will come in for him.
Talk about Jurgen Klopp factor, eh?
Respected Arsenal correspondent David Ornstein last night broke the news to enormous fanfare, meaning the finals 48 hours of this transfer window are going to as crazy and intriguing as the start of this week.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has rejected Chelsea move & wants to join Liverpool. Bid lower than #CFC £40m expected. Otherwise will stay at #AFC #LFC

Main reason for AOC wanting to leave Arsenal was to move from RWB to central position & feels Chelsea will also play him RWB #AFC #CFC #LFC

There was a time when Liverpool didn’t seem too much of a draw, but now the most highly sought after players are gagging for an Anfield switch to play under our charismatic German.
Before the window closes, Liverpool could have captured van Dijk, Thomas Lemar and The Ox, although we probably reckon that only one of the final two names mentioned will sign – with the Englishman a backup option if Monaco won’t sell.
Either way, it’ll seriously boost the squad which was already started this season fantastically.
Strap yourselves in, Reds!
