LFC linked with 1-cap Brazilian; Arsenal also keen

This transfer rumour makes no sense to us…

Brazilian outlets are linking Luan to Liverpool again and the Daily Mirror have picked up on it.

The forward plays anywhere in a front-three and has one proper cap for his country, although did play for the successful Olympic winning side in 2016.

Luan represents Gremio still in his homeland, but at 24, it’s probably time for him to move to Europe.

The report suggests Arsenal are also keeping tabs, but having watched Luan, we’re not especially keen.

He’s not an improvement on what we currently have in any way. Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana are a league above, in short – and Luan wouldn’t get in our side.

If £35m Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can’t get a sniff, Luan wouldn’t stand a chance.

We reckon he’ll end up moving to Benfica, Porto or Shakhtar Donetsk – three clubs who make a habit and business about buying the best South American talent and developing it.
