Transfer rumours relating to potential Liverpool signings seem to be rubbished as quickly as they are conjured lately and links to Gremio attacker Luan appear to have continued that trend.
Reports over the weekend suggested that the Reds had agreed a deal to bring the Brazilian to Anfield having been in contact with his representatives earlier this year.
Gremio’s club president Romildo Bolzan Jr has, however, swiftly denied claims that Liverpool have met the 24-year-old’s valuation and that the deal is in motion.
“We have no information, no official proposal. We have absolutely no concrete proposal,” he said, as cited by the Liverpool Echo.

The response comes after Brazilian journalist Luis Felipe Amorin recently stated that Gremio had agreed to terms of a £23million deal for the versatile forward.
Once again there appears to be the possibility that a potentially loose rumour has been fed into the media in an attempt to publicise the player’s availability. Luan is heading into the final year of his contract and it doesn’t appear as though the 24-year-old has any intention of signing a new deal in Porto Alegre.
He poses as one of many players to have been identified as a Liverpool target with Jurgen Klopp looking to bolster his attacking options and his squad’s strength in depth. If not Luan, then it will be somebody else.
