Philippe Coutinho proved to be a class above yet again on Sunday as he put Liverpool ahead with a sublime solo effort against Bournemouth.

The Brazilian picked up the ball on the left-hand side, before driving down the touchline and using the run of Andrew Roberson beside him to cut inside on his right foot and fire low past Asmir Begović.

Whilst the No.10 earned the plaudits for his magical feet, Robertson was also deserving of credit for his selfless run on the outside to draw Bournemouth’s defenders wide.

Jurgen Klopp’s men had started the game brightly, dominating possession and implementing their typically frantic high press from the off.

Coutinho, occupying the left flank in Sadio Mane’s absence, took not time in asserting his dominance, with fellow countryman Roberto Firmino also spearheading Liverpool’s impressive work rate from the front.
