Neither the wind or snow could serve as a deterrent to Mohamed Salah’s prolific scoring form on Saturday.
A blustery day on Merseyside started in emphatic fashion for Liverpool as their ‘Egyptian King’ produced a familiar moment of individual ingenuity to open the scoring against Watford.
The summer-signing received the ball from Sadio Mane on right-hand side before dropping a succession of jinking cuts to fool Miguel Britos and eventually finish calmly with his right-foot.
It marked his 25th Premier League goal of the season to leapfrog Harry Kane’s total of 24, which may not move for the next month in light of the striker’s injury layoff.
There has since been little else to report, with Jurgen Klopp’s men dominating possession and Jordan Henderson in particular emerging as a leading source of service for the likes of Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
