Jurgen Klopp reignites interest in £90m teenage record-breaker

Jurgen Klopp isn’t ready to quit in his efforts to lure Christian Pulisic to his flourishing Anfield project.

The German seemingly remains an avid admirer of the Borussia Dortmund starlet as he prepares to strengthen his Liverpool squad this summer.

Pulisic has been linked with the Reds on multiple occasions courtesy of his incredible rise to prominence in Germany.

Liverpool saw an £11million bid rejected in summer 2016 but are set to step up their pursuit when the transfer window re-opens, according to German outlet Bild.

The 19-year-old’s lasting impression on European football has reportedly seen him valued by Dortmund at around £90million.

Pulisic is entering the final two years of his current contract and is yet to have agreed to a new deal with his Bundesliga employers.

His growth has seen him flaunt traits capable of seeing him transition from a wider position, where he has predominantly played in Germany, into a central technician’s role.

This has consequently touted him as a potential long-term replacement for Philippe Coutinho, with his agility and directness through compact avenues blending with evident vision and execution in presenting him as a suitable fit to Klopp’s system.

A blossoming CV includes records as the youngest USMNT scorer in the modern era and the youngest American to score in the Champions League.

His experience on both domestic and European platforms sets him in good stead to adapt swiftly were rumours of a move to materialise.
