What Bale did after Champions League Final in LFC Dressing Room

Instead of joining in the celebrations in Real Madrid’s dressing room, Gareth Bale spent 20 minutes in the Liverpool one, consoling our players following the Champions League Final in Kiev.

The Welshman scored two goals, one of them possibly the greatest ever seen in a European Cup Final, and the other an absolute gift from our goalkeeper, Loris Karius.

Real Madrid won 3-1, partly thanks to their captain Sergio Ramos purposely injuring Mo Salah, with goals from Sadio Mane and Karim Benzema (via another Karius nightmare) also added to the tally.

Bale, who was the Man of the Match, left the on-field celebrations early and spent time with former team-mate Adam Lallana and the man who lost Liverpool the match, Karius.

The 28-year-old may be leaving Real Madrid this summer, but it won’t be to Liverpool, who rarely target players over 25 and wouldn’t be keen on paying his absurd wages.

Still, we appreciate Bale’s gesture, although in truth, the pain from Saturday night will last many months, rather than weeks.
