Markovic hits back at greedy claims on Twitter, but it doesn’t wash…

Markovic played for the U23s in a behind closed-doors friendly against Crewe at the weekend and their manager David Artell praised his performance.

“They had Markovic with them and he was a class above. It was a great experience and the players can really see the benefit of it,” he said.

It doesn’t really matter how well Markovic plays though, he’s not going to work his way back into Klopp’s first-team plans.

Our manager has absolutely no time for the former Benfica winger as an attacking option or a character in the dressing room, and has never even named Markovic on the bench since his appointment three years ago.

Why the 24-year-old didn’t accept terms elsewhere this summer is anyone’s guess.
