Trent Alexander-Arnold has lavished praise onto his teammates Joe Gomez and Alisson Becker, who have both been alongside him for most of the season in a new-look Reds backline.
Via the Daily Star, the full-back said of Gomez: “At a young age, he’s one of the best in his position in the league. That takes some doing, so that’s credit to him especially with the setbacks he has had.
“He has an immense hunger and drive to keep succeeding, going forward and getting better. You see that every day in training.
“The relationship he has forged with Virgil has really helped him. It’s like he’s a mini-Virgil at times!”
Van Dijk: What makes this LFC team so good
Trent also branded goalkeeper Alisson as ‘world-class’, hailing his impact since signing for the Reds from Roma over the summer to replace Loris Karius.
He added: “We don’t want to concede too many chances and we haven’t so far this season, but when the ‘keeper has been called upon, Alisson has made some world-class saves and shown he is world-class.”
We totally agree – both Gomez and Alisson have been exceptional this season. Long may it continue!
