Jurgen Klopp has dismissed the claim that the likes of Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson are ‘jealous’ of new signings Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri.
With the new arrivals understandably gaining a lot of attention, Klopp was asked about how those long-serving players have reacted – and his response was exactly as you might expect.

According to the Liverpool Echo, he said: “When Mo was here last season we had a situation before a Champions League game where the journalists take pictures before the training.
“We were standing inside and I said we could go out naked except for Mo and they would not notice. It is not a problem – footballers are used to it. We are a smart team; they are not jealous or whatever.
“It is really no problem. They all get the same respect and it is only what they think about each other.”
This Reds squad appears from the outside to be one of the best and most harmonious there has been. They’ll all have to play a part if we are to achieve what we hope to this season.
