Klopp: What we must do to win the title

Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool must continue to ‘find a way to win’ if the Reds are to get over the line in the Premier League title race this season.

Victory against Leicester City tonight would put the Reds seven points clear of Manchester City after Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle United beat Pep Guardiola’s side last night, but Claude Puel’s side are just one of 15 tests between now and the end of the season.

The boss told the official matchday programme for the Leicester City game: “It’s this mindset of ‘finding a way’ that will be critical for us between now and the end of the season.

“We did not need the battling performances away at Brighton and at home to Palace to teach us this.

“We are all fully aware that every team who faces us comes with the highest motivation to beat us, but people should not underestimate our motivation as well.”

Thus far, each and every one of the players has shown the correct mentality and there is no reason to think that won’t continue to be the case, but the boss is right to urge caution. Nothing is won yet.

A win tonight, though, would be a big step towards the title and a huge boost going into the run-in – keep it going Reds!
