Georginio Wijnaldum provided a touch of class to double Liverpool’s lead against Bournemouth inside a rocking Anfield.
The Dutchman burst into the visitors’ penalty area to meet Andrew Robertson’s pass, before taking a touch and lofting the ball over Artur Boruc.
His effort followed up Sadio Mane’s powerful headed opener in calming any early nerves that may have been looming since Monday’s 1-1 draw with West Ham.
Jurgen Klopp’s men started the afternoon exactly as they needed to, penning Bournemouth in and dictating the game with their intensity.
Wijnaldum is back in the starting lineup today having missed the trip to the London Stadium with a minor knee issue.
