Klopp: The three things we must do to win the league

Jurgen Klopp has named the three things his Reds side must do if they are to win the Premier League this season.

The German has seen his players draw 0-0 in three of the last four matches in all competitions, but ahead of facing Burnley on Sunday, Klopp says there is still a chance to finish first in the table.

Via the Daily Mirror, Klopp said: “Be strong, be positive, be a real threat – let’s go for it!

“It’s fantastic – we are in the position we deserve to be. Let’s use it. The final third of the season, in a position not many people expected us to be with nine games to go.

“Let’s try everything – be positive, be lively, be on the front foot, be a real threat, use your power, all your skills and then we will see.”

That message applies to the fans as well as the players – those inside Anfield against Burnley and beyond will be massively important.  Staying positive will be key.

Beat Burnley and then Fulham and the Reds will be top of the Premier League heading into the international break, because Manchester City play Swansea City in the FA Cup next weekend, rather than having a league fixture.

That would put the pressure back onto Pep Guardiola’s men, although they would have a game in hand. There’s certainly a long way to go still in the title race!
