Liverpool interested in Ligue 1 star duo, states L’Equipe journo

Nabil Fekir will finally leave Lyon this summer and team-mate Memphis Depay is likely to follow him out of the door, according to L’Equipe journalist Bilel Ghazi.

The reporter has claimed that the World Cup winning forward has attracted interest from Liverpool and Manchester City. In regards to Memphis, Ghazi mentioned only that the Reds have shown the most interest in the Dutchman.

Depay has moved out of his £1.3million house, as per the same report, because of a couple of successive burglaries – this move has sparked the interest of journalists in France and beyond.

The belief is that the former Manchester United man will not return to his house and instead stay at the hotel he now calls home until a move away from Lyon can be arranged.

Memphis has recently been hanging out with Liverpool midfielder and international team-mate Gini Wijnaldum. The duo seem to have a good relationship off the field – perhaps they’d like to link up a club level?

Depay has netted eight times in Ligue 1 this season and has set up as many chances for his team mates. The play-maker set up both Wijnaldum and Virgil van Dijk in Netherlands’ 4-0 thrashing of Belarus last month.
