Speaking in Madrid at the Hotels.com UEFA Champions League Retreat, Kop legend John Barnes has predicted Jürgen Klopp and his men will do the business on Saturday night by beating Tottenham Hotspur.
Barnes suggests that the fact we’ve beaten Spurs twice already this season is something to consider going into the final.
Potentially playing without Harry Kane when the whistle blows, Barnes claims that Spurs are still a threat because they have individuals who can try and win them the game.
That said, he also said that the Reds are going to give a consistent performance, while Spurs are something of an unknown quantity – a factor that makes them potentially dangerous.
While anything could happen, we still fancy our chances of lifting European silverware in Madrid.
