Daniel Sturridge has been backed to join Premier League rivals Arsenal at the end of his Liverpool contract.
The forward is without a club on July 1st as his contract with the Reds is set to run its course.
Sturridge still possesses his natural ability to finish and would be a great addition to the next squad he graces.
Crystal Palace favourite Clinton Morrison has suggested Arsenal could be the next destination for the clinical finisher. “I believe Daniel Sturridge is still good enough to play in the Premier League. He’s got great technical ability,” he told talkSPORT.
“Before all of his injuries, for me personally, I think he was the best English striker in the county. I thought he was better than Harry Kane.
“Maybe not in the top three or four, maybe not for Liverpool or Manchester City, but he could go to a team like Arsenal.
“I would love my old club Crystal Palace to get him and Leicester could be a good shout – he and Brendan Rodgers work well together.
“Rangers could work too, maybe Steven Gerrard could get the best out of him, but I think he will want to stay in the Premier League.”
Arsenal may actually be a good choice; there’s a bit of reported interest Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the dancing striker could be a cost-effective alternative for the Londoners.
Having previously spent several years at Chelsea, the country’s capital wouldn’t be alien to Sturridge and his family either.
A move to warmer climes could also be on for the striker too – clubs in Australia and the United States are surely lining up to bring the star to their stadium.
