Saturday night saw ex-Liverpool coach, Steve Clarke, take charge of his first game for Scotland in a Euros 2020 qualifier win against Cyprus that saw captain Andy Robertson have a thunderously decisive impact on the game.
The ball was played parallel to the box onto the onrushing Robbo, who collected the ball and let fly with an unreal, left-footed thunderbolt to give his side the lead in the 61st minute.
What a week Robertson’s had! Winning the Champions League in Madrid last Saturday and scoring an absolute thunderb*stard for your country the next!
Despite a hefty 13 assists for the Reds, this screamer is the flying full-back’s first goal this year.
Robbo initially opened his account for the Reds on the final day of the 2017/18 season in a 4-0 win over Brighton at the Amex.
That said, the 25-year-old has been threatening to unleash one of these for us all season. Even in the Champions League final, Robertson pulled the trigger on a venomous shot that just rose over the bar at the Estadio Metropolitano.
With moments of brilliance like this, the Glasgow lad is making sure those world-class labels stick.
