Liverpool are keeping tabs on Benfica B starlet David Tavares according to Portuguese outlet O Jogo.
Tavares is a very physical player even at such a young age, and it is reported that he caught Jurgen Klopp’s eye during the pre-Champions League final friendly between the two sides, which took place in Marbella.
The 20-year-old is around 186cm tall, and Klopp is said to have been impressed with how he imposed himself on the game.

Reds have ‘Plan B’ if attacking transfer targets don’t come off
Benfica were chosen as the opponents partly due to availability, but also thanks to a tactical similarity that Klopp and his staff saw between them and Tottenham. The game also appears to have had the added benefit of providing a first-hand look at a potential arrival.
It might not be the big-name signing that Reds fans will crave this summer, but who knows, in a few years it could prove to be an astute signing should the club fully pursue it.
