The goalkeeper featured for the Reds in the second half of the first pre-season friendly with Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park which resulted in a 6-0 win for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Jaros is expected to now sit out the rest of the Reds’ pre-season following assessment by the club’s medical team, as per LFC’s official website.

The young Czech stopped was part of the Liverpool U18s team that won the FA Youth Cup, and was expected to feature heavily after Caoimhin Kelleher fell to an injury of his own.

Jurgen Klopp is set to turn to his younger squad members again as Liverpool travel to the midlands to face off against Bradford City.

Off the back of a thrashing of Tranmere Rovers, the youngsters should be in good spirits. Unfortunately, Paul Glatzel will not be joining the party as he is also injured.

The German starlet sustained an injury in the second half at Prenton Park and was withdrawn before the final whistle – only to be replaced by Dan Atherton, a goalkeeper who may now have a more prominent role in the pre-season tour than originally thought.
