(Video) Mané sows discord with probing ball as OG sends Senegal to AFCON final

Senegal have made it to the Africa Cup of Nations final, which means that, like Alisson and Roberto Firmino before him, Sadio Mané has made it to another showpiece event this season.

One goal behind Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo, the Reds’ no. 10. has scored three goals on the way to this year’s showdown in Egypt.

However, it was a Tunisian own goal on Sunday night that eventually saw Senegal progress after extra-time and missed penalities from both sides.

With the scoreline settled at 0-0 in the full 90 minutes, Sadio sent forth a searching ball into the penalty area following a free-kick scenario: cue pandemonium.

The Tunisia ‘keeper, Moez Hassen, flapped at the ball, which ricocheted off the head of defender Dylan Bronn to give Senegal the lead in the 101st minute.

Squandered spot kicks, controversial decisions, an own goal deep into the night, this semi-final was definitely a spectacle.

Thanks to Mané’s interrogative ball, the Teranga Lions are hunting their first-ever AFCON title. Facing Algeria and Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez in the decider, this final represents Senegal’s first final in the tournament for 17 years.
