Spanish reports make absolutely massive claim about Mo Salah

Liverpool are set to offer Mo Salah a new deal worth around £430,000 per week according to reports in Spain (via Sports Mole), which would reportedly make him the highest paid Premier League player of all time.

Salah only signed a new contract with the Reds last summer to keep him at the club until 2023, but it is claimed that another deal is on the table which would significantly increase his wages and tie him down for an additional year.

That he would become the highest paid player in the league would be a big statement – although at that figure, whether that is actually true could be slightly contentious: Alexis Sanchez is rumoured to be on more than that at Manchester United.

Offering the Egyptian, who has scored 54 in 74 Premier League games so far for the club, a new deal so soon after his last one is a slightly surprising choice, though it can certainly be argued he deserves to be rewarded for his progression.

If the Reds are worried about him being tempted by Real Madrid, offering more money and keeping him happy now could solve a problem further down the line.
