Talent never leaves you – not entirely. As a footballer finds himself on the wrong side of 30, his legs will begin to give way and he won’t be able to keep up with the youngsters as well as he once did.
It’s happened to all of our favourite players, and it’s hard to see and accept. The same happened for Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, and the iconic captain moved on from the club probably earlier than he’d have liked.
Now as Rangers’ manager, the former Reds hero showed a glimmer of what once was by pulling off an impressive crossbar challenge – this is something Liverpool and ‘Gers fans can thoroughly enjoy together.
