What Jurgen Klopp said to ‘transfer target’ Bruno Fernandes following Sporting friendly

Jurgen Klopp, like everyone else watching the friendly between the Reds and Sporting Lisbon on Thursday, was very impressed by reported Liverpool transfer target Bruno Fernandes.

The goalscoring midfielder, who netted 20 goals and provided 13 assists in 33 Primeira Liga matches for his club last season, looked technically excellent against the Reds, while his numbers speak for themselves.

The manager was impressed with Fernandes and managed to speak with him at the final whistle.

According to O Jogo, Klopp said to the 24-year-old post-match: “Good game. You’ve been good. Congratulations for the great game. You’re a top player.”

Fernandes seems to be exactly the type of player that would bolster the Reds’ squad this summer, though all the suggestions are that he won’t be coming to Anfield. He’s been linked with Manchester United as well – we absolutely do not want to see that happen.

If the Reds are to make another signing this summer, we think Fernandes should be that man.
