Harvey Elliott scoffs at City’s ‘McDonald’s Trophy’ & shouts out LFC’s 6 CL wins

Harvey Elliott is probably going to get in a bit of trouble on social media in the coming years – more so than he has already for the Harry Kane impression!

But at the end of the day, he’s a confident, brash 16-year-old who’s just having a bit of fun.

Last night, Manchester City fans were giving our playmaker a bit of stick on social media for their fortunate Community Shield win – but our new signing was having none of it.

‘Im not worrying bro, McDonald’s trophy anyway,’ he said – in reference to the match’s sponsor, before simply writing ‘6 Champions Leagues’ – which we agree is a fairly good comeback in all forms of life!

Elliott wasn’t on the bench for yesterday’s clash, and with Sadio Mane still to come back – we’d be surprised if he featured in any of the early games.

Instead, we predict he might be on the bench for our first EFL Cup game – but the draw for that competition has yet to be made so we don’t know our opponents.

We think he looked incredibly talented in pre-season, and it would be nice it he was given a full debut at some point in 2019/20.
