Virgil van Dijk has taken some time out with Steven Gillespie, of the Liverpool FC International Academy, to explain how to pass the ball like him.
The Netherlands international is renowned for his ability to pick out wide players with relative ease – think of how many times he switched the ball to Mo Salah or Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Reds supporters have a song for van Dijk which remarks how ‘he’ll pass the ball, calm as you like’, and that couldn’t be more accurate.
