Napoli took the lead against Liverpool in the Champions League in farcical fashion as the Italians converted a penalty gifted to them.
The spot kick was award to the hosts after Jose Callejon danced into the Reds’ penalty area, and a dangling Andy Robertson leg warranted the Spaniard to hit the deck.
Replays show that the winger didn’t even make contact with the Scottish full-back, and his blatant simulation was only rewarded by the match officials.
Honestly, it’s not the first time the Napoli man has cheated his way into gaining an advantage for his team. VAR wasn’t even consulted.
The game was beginning to get away from Napoli, with Liverpool eeking their way into it as time went on – the Reds looked the more likely to grab a goal.
Poor.
