“Keegan meltdown” – Micah Richards claims Guardiola has rattled Klopp

Former Manchester City and Aston Villa defender Micah Richard claims that Pepe Guardiola has rattled Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

I wonder why a former man of those clubs would want people to believe the German has been undone, after the weekend we’ve just had…

Anyway – Richards has accused Klopp of having a “Keegan meltdown” ahead of our big clash with Man City at the weekend.

Guardiola said that Sadio Mane sometimes scores, sometimes dives after our dramatic win over Villa at the weekend, but Klopp didn’t really want to talk about it in the pre-match conference for Genk.

That being said, the Liverpool boss did defend his player and insisted that he’s not a diver. Richards has labelled this as a meltdown in hyperbolic fashion.

Sounded like Keegan meltdown,” Richards told 5 Live Sport (via HITC). “I’m a neutral [laughs]. Yes, I love City, but I’m neutral.

After explaining for a minute or so that he doesn’t want to talk about Man City, he talks about Man City – it’s mind games.

That’s what the title race needs. Two great managers, Pep’s come out on top a couple of times and he’s just trying to upset the apple cart a little bit.

It looks like it has stirred up Klopp, to be honest. The way Klopp has reacted there, it’s like he has had a bit of a nibble.

I’m not sure I agree with the former City man – the boss did look frustrated at the press conference, but I think that’s got more to do with the fact it was a pre-match conference for Genk.

Either way, I’d say Klopp is more than entitled to be frustrated – Guardiola did comment on something he couldn’t have possibly seen at the time.
