(Video) Aldridge shares what he loves about Klopp’s 19-goal striker

Jurgen Klopp has a wealth of talents in his attacking department and there’s one man in particular who has impressed John Aldridge with a certain aspect of his game.

Speaking on the ‘We Are Liverpool Podcast’, the 65-year-old said: “I probably scored a third of my goals with my head. You get across defenders, you try and nick it, and you just got to…

“Nunez does that now. That’s what I love about Nunez. Many strikers now, when they go to head the ball, they go up and they go… They’re like accepting they’re not going to head the ball.

“His blood vessels are bursting out his neck just to get a little nick on. It’s a big part of the game, that little flick makes an opportunity for someone to get a goal, really wanting to head the ball, innit?”

The Uruguayan has scored 19 goals for the Reds since joining the club last summer and five of these have been with his head, so it’s a good assessment by the ex-striker.

As confidence continues to increase whenever our No.9 takes to the pitch, we can all hope that we see even more goals from him – perhaps even with his head too.
