Piotr Zielinski has dropped a major hint that his transfer to Liverpool is imminent by being pictured on French TV station Canal+ wearing a Reds shirt.

We have been linked with The Udinese midfielder for several months and reports from Polish news outlet Przeglad Sportowy suggest that we could complete his £12m signing this week.

And the 21-year-old gave us a glimpse of what the future could hold by posing in a Liverpool kit which had been personalised with his name and the number 10.

It does appear as though this potential transfer is close to completion, although we would be surprised if Zielinski wrestles the No.10 shirt from Philippe Coutinho!

Zielinski would be Jurgen Klopp’s third signing as Reds boss, following the free transfer of Joel Matip from Schalke 04, and Marko Grujic from Red Star Belgrade.

The Pole has spent the last two years on loan at Empoli from Udinese. He contributed five goals and six assists as Empoli finished in the top half of Serie A this season.
