Liverpool have been so impressed with Mo Salah’s start to life at Liverpool, we’re already considering offering him a bumper new contract.
The Egyptian only penned five year terms in June last year, after we acquired him from Roma, but since then has scored 31 goals – a simply jaw-dropping start to his Anfield tenure.
Obviously, the club hope Salah stays at Liverpool for years to come, aware of the increasing interest from Real Madrid, especially considering their own attackers are either over thirty or injury prone.
The Mirror say a new contract is being lined up to ward off the attentions of the Spanish giants, although in fairness, it’s still no guarantee of keeping Salah considering what happened with Barcelona and Coutinho.
Still, the 25-year-old seems extremely happy on Merseyside and we’re delighted to have him.
A new contract, which will likely make him the highest paid player at the club, is highly deserved.
Hopefully Mo, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane will have all penned new terms before the season is out.
