James Milner has won Premier League and FA Cup titles, but tonight, by some distance, is the biggest game of his career.
The midfielder will start on the right of Jordan Henderson, with Gini Wijnaldum to the captain’s left in a trio that need to be at their absolute best to cope with Real Madrid’s magnificent players in this area.

Liverpool undertook an open training session at the stadium last night – and Milner curled in a lovely goal to whet our appetites.
It’s a little like Mo Salah’s opener against AS Roma at Anfield, but with his right foot!
We have no worries about Milner’s fitness, as the Englishman is probably our most conditioned player physically, despite being 32-years-old.
He also has to help get the ball to our forwards, while protecting Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back.
We’re backing him to maintain his brilliant level from this season and help Liverpool win the Champions League.
