Carra wants to finish his career at Liverpool more…
(I still dream of a team of Carraghers)

Kuyt tells team mates “Let us not do an Everton against Benfica” more…
(Yep agreed)

Steve Bruce is still drooling over Torres more…
(Keep drooling Brucie, he is our No 9)

Rafa wants to keep Torres happy more…
(And so do we)

And the Gaffer is happy with the attacking options more…
(Let us unleash them against Benfica)

And he also hails Daniel Agger more…
(Agger was awesome against Sunderland, showing lots of swagger there and yes ladies is looks better than Mick Jagger)

Aquilani is having a hard time learning English more…
(All you need to know are 3 words, 1. Pass  2. Shoot 3. Goal)

The Daily Fail calls Aquilani a flop? more…
(The editor of the paper is a flop)

The same rag claims that Riera’s transfer has stalled more…
(Well this is what I am afraid of that this would turn out into another Dossena. We do not need players who do not want to be at the club hanging around they are not good for morale)

Martin Kelly is out for the rest of the season more…
(:-()

And Lee Chung-yong’s agent dismisses the Liverpool link more…
(Let the ridiculous season start)

And Raul is linked with Liverpool now more…
(Great player but he has passed his prime)

Jose Mourinho is tired of the Italian game more…
(Try France or La Liga)

And finally Premier League clubs (including LFC of course) will receive an extra 7.5 million from International TV rights more…
(I doubt Rafa will see any of the money for transfers however, it is these kind of deals that keeps H&G holding on to the club. They know that the club will see more revenue coming in as the Premier League gets more coverage in Asia and the club’s valuation will rise.)

Tweet of the Day
As Rooney limped off I yelled “no world cup for you” I did get a few cheers from some Scots :-)

  1. Aquaman will forever be called a flop until he is playing regular first team football, I like him, I think he can be a great addition to the side, but with his constant knocks and stomach bugs, it does beg the question “Why did Rafa use 20 million on the man made from glass?”

I’m hoping this is just teething problems, and next season I really hope he will become a regular with Liverpool, cause god only knows we’ve missed Alonso’s abilty to pick wide passes and get the play moving forward, and Aquilani looks like a decent replacement (thats not me saying he’s better or worse, as I refuse to pass judgement on his limited performances this season).

We expected nothing more from Carra though really did we, the only time he’d move clubs is like he already stated for the love of the game and to help out really, hence why I’d love him to get stuck in with Tranmere before coming back to rebuild the bootroom at Anfield with King Kenny.

Really gutted to see Kelly out, really wanted to see these youngsters getting a run out and time on the pitch in games, as every time they have been on they’ve looked good, hungry for the ball and really want to get a place in the first 11, I’m really hoping Kenny can start to influence Rafa’s decision to get the players into games for more than 5 – 10 minutes next season. We’ve really got to start embracing these young lads, Nathan Eccleston doesn’t want to come back now (I could be wrong with the players name) but we’ve shipped Jay Spearing off as well. And Pacheco doesn’t even get to warm the bench, this is a real concern for me, we are all worried about the money not being invested (but my comment about the Aquaman is partially about that) but we have some real talent there in the academy thanks to it having a real sort out, as it looked to become a joke for a while, so lets start using these homegrown lads, and these youngsters than have cost nothing, or next to nothing in footballing terms.

Really hoping we will have Babel and Yossi on the flanks for Thursdays game, and Torres and Kuyt together upfront, I know it won’t happen but would be great to see, as Kuyt and Torres pulling off wide really hurt the Sunderland defence last Sunday and really want to see more of that, especially from Torres, a player of his abilty requires at least 2 men to follow him to the corner flag, on a quick break he pulls defences apart leaving a real gap in the centre, really want to see more football like that for the remainder of the season.

  2. Why not Mourinho to lead the Reds? I know he’s had scrapes in the past, the ‘Shhhhhh’ incident, etc., but he’s flat out brilliant. It’s painfully obvious that Rafa will never receive the kind of funding from Management, to bring in the kind of quality that will return us to the top of the World. A new manager, especially Jose Mourinho, that has done exactly that everywhere he’s been, will command a high price, and the additional funds to transfer quality players to Anfield, and keep El Nino satisfied.

Failing that, I suppose it’s too much to hope for the Yanks to be bought out, with Rafa being retained, and given the proper funding?

    YNWA!

  3. Do you think that jack and his magic beans will be given to Jose instead of Rafa? He’s more likely to go and manage a Spanish team with plenty of funds! The funds aren’t there for any manager, and Mouriniho wouldn’t want the hassle of breaking even. I’m not sayin he’s a bad manager he’s great and if we had money he probably would come to Liverpool just to annoy Roman. But I think its more likely he’ll take over Sir Alex Fergason in reality if they get the correct backing and investment.
