VLOG : Antoine’s emotional rant

Posted by

To all those spreading this video around and claiming it is embarrassing thank you for sending traffic my way. YOU ARE MORONS and will not get anywhere by trying to assassinate my character because I expressed how I felt. I am not embarrassed (I am actually very proud of it) if I was I would have removed it.

I saw the Lucas goal again and broke down, got carried away.
I decided to post the video, I do not care what people think I am proud to support my team and our players.

  1. Antoine nice to see how pasionate you are about Lucas. I have always been a supporter of our players and, he has taken a lot of slack (maybe some deserving) but its great to see him score that goal and improve drastically this season. Walk on.

  2. GOOD MAN!!! That kid deserves NONE of the stuff he gets from people. And tonight that goal just capped it off. Perhaps if people werent so harsh towards him, we will see many more goals like that. Brilliant young kid, HUGE future at Liverpool, as long as some of our fans STOP treating him like dirt, its disgusting, and some people need to take a long hard look at themselves. Well done Lucas, and Well done Antoine. YNWA!

  3. This year he has made huge strides and if he maintains this form he will go to South Africa with one of the hot favorites….Brazil!
Antoine we maltese come from such a small nation but we have such a big heart!!!!!

  4. Its great that he scored a goal, but people get fucked off with Lucas because there are 2 defensive mids! It’s not his fault but either Mascherano or him should be played (preferably Masch) because 2 defensive mids doesn’t allow a flowing game. Today we may of won 4-1 but it was not a very good display, 3 counter attack goals says it all

  5. So happy for Lucas today. I was not a fan of him last season, but during the summer it was evident he was doing everything possible to improve, and I gained a lot of respect for him. I admire how he has quietly shrugged off his critics and simply focused on his game…he seems to have a great attitude and I hope to see him succeed for the team and individually.

  6. Great passionate cry there Antoine. I felt a bit like that myself being a Lucas fan. Now the fickle doubters should shut up for a while (you can never keep these people down). Lucas has been humble to know where he stands in the Anfield pecking order and shown Rafa he can count on him. He is made of bigger stuff than the Aquilanis of this world and will serve Liverpool well for a long time to come. Did you see how Gerrard hugged him? Pure magic! Even he was feeling for the guy and knws his worth.

  7. Antoine you have balls of steel because many folks (not necessarily LFC supporters) will ridicule you for this. However, I think it’s great you posted it, great Lucas scored and I’m just made up for the lad. He’s totally deserved it and I hope he goes on and scores the winner in the Europa Cup final.

  8. I so hope we win the Europa League with a 2-0 win courtesy of Lucas and N’Gog. Really, that’d be just lovely.

  9. @emceemf

People blame there are 2 DMs, but how would we play 4-2-3-1 that thrashing a lot teams, especially last season? And they should know that Lucas is not a DEFENSIVE Midfielder, he’s more attacking one, and yes Rafa’s playing him out of position. But, as Lucas stated on his interview on this issue, his role is SECOND DM (in this 4-2-3-1) that’s mean his main job is to help defense and going forward or help attack if there is any chance or needed.

So, please give the lad some patient.
    Good luck Lucas, YNWA.

  10. @ Antoine
I cannot hear your voice now, but I download your video and will hear it later, but same with you proud of the lads. YNWA

Come on Reds, make it to final….. YNWA

  11. I have to agree with emceemf above. Not to take anything away from Lucas; it was a great goal, the calmness and all. I’m happy for the kid — and the emotional Antoine :)

However, one game does not change the fact that on many an occasion this season, the use of two holding midfielders hasn’t exactly been a successful recipe for winning matches. Especially against top class defense.

Still, great, great game. Let’s just savor the victory for now. YNWA.

  12. Just remember that he starts more often than Aqua, who they payed 20 million-ish quid for. Knowing that you are doing better than Alonso’s “replacement” is something to be proud of. I’m not knocking Aqua, the prince has a lot of skill we have yet to see.

  13. Not even emotional, just the result of a fantastic European night. Easily one of the best matches of our season all year and it was amazing to see Lucas finish so smoothly and so… for lack of a better word, Brazilian! You were right on, Antoine. YNWA

  14. Amen brother!!!

couldn’t have put it better myself. Lucas deserved that goal. Look at how happy he was and how elated the other players were when he scored. Tonight was for Lucas!

  15. Good on the lad, deserved that goal! He’s sat back And not said anything to all the flak he has taken and worked his arse off and hopefully people will get off his back. I know it is frustrating watching two defencive midfielders playing together but given the chance he will go forward he’s done it before and he’ll do it again. Finished as cool as you like as well! Te lad has passion which we need fair play to him!

  16. Excellent, Antoine! I may not be Lucas’ biggest fan and I still think that Torres needs better reinforcements in order for us to be competitive for the league title again, but I’m also a firm believer that as long as you’re still wearing that Red kit then you deserve all the respect and support of the whole Liverpool community. That also goes for Rafa. The players and manager clearly do not need the added pressure of “heads must roll” talks. Let’s wait till the season’s over to sort our problems out. Right now, what we need to do as fans is get behind our team no matter what, in victory and in defeat, we love this club. Our club motto is You’ll Never Walk Alone, let’s try to do that, ok? :)

  17. @renatha!!! One game, I forgot he played against Lille, what about the derby performances he has put in, oh and don’t forget he’s never helped out when we’ve played United! Yes he may not go forward as much as people like and I wasn’t a huge fan of some of his performances but he’s improved sooooo much this year. Unlike some players he’s worked hard and not wanted to go somewhere else, he’s happy being in Rafas pecking order and would most likely sign his life to Liverpool given the chance! Good on him, squad player or starting 11!

Rewind tapes of games he has played and stop listning or reading negative comments about him and make your own mind up, no one wants to hear what Andy Gray has to say about the lad re hashed on here!

  18. Lucas is definitely improving. Fair play to the lad he has taken fair amount of abuse from the fans (me included) but he has stuck to it and is starting to put in some really good performances.

He seems more comfortable playing higher up the pitch – I wonder if there is merit in swapping Stevie and Lucas around for a bit – Stevie doesn’t like playing with his back to goal and is much better in the middle pulling the strings.

Rafa – it might be worth trying.

  19. Sam – think that’s a little harsh. Lucas tries every game and has worked hard to improve his game. Think we need to support the players and especially those that play for the shirt.

  20. @Steve, I never bashed Lucas :) It’s the system I criticized. As long as a player wears LFC red, he’s ours to support.

  21. oh i said hate. I make mistakes like that. I used to ‘not like’ Lucas, I thought he was not worthy of a place in the Liverpool side. After yesterdays match I believe he has a very bright future at Anfield, and he is really starting to show it. As for Ngog, I think he needs to start a few more matches, to show what he is made of. He will turn out to be a good striker, but he just hasn’t been able to show us yet.

    ynwa

  22. YNWA!!!!!! Nice goal by LL, but he is not at the level he is supposed to be to play that position for LFC. Sorry, yes I’m happy for him but he is not a child. This goal most definetely sits aqui on the bench for the rest of the season. Aqui is pure brilliance and has been quite healthy for the last few months. I wonder whats going on there…..YNWA, nice goal Lucas , lets see to where you elevate your game now…..
