Not a bad idea playing 3 centrebacks given the threat of John Carew and Rory Delap.
Looks like we’re finally gonna see what G. Johnson can do as a winger. Fantastic! Would of liked to have seen Suarez start but otherwise it’s a fantastic lineup.

Seems negative, but I can’t disagree with what I’m guessing is the reasoning behind the changes. Not really a game for Maxi, definitely a game for Kyrgiakos and a chance to see Glen on the wing. Not an ideal debut game for Luis either, but I’m hoping he’ll make an impact at some stage, hopefully it’s not necessary!

espn has us playing a 3-4-3 or some variant. seems like a strange setup with more than half the team out of position and it is beyond confusing. Kelly and Johnson will probably get the biggest cardio workout of their lives this game pushing forward and hustling back to defend. i hope it works.
