Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel celebrates his birthday at home with his family…
Liverpool centre back Martin Skrtel turned 30 today, and has been celebrating his birthday at home with his family, with the pictures seen below being posted on social media website Instagram.
The Slovakian joined the Reds from Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2008, and has played 264 games since his arrival, scoring 16 times in all competitions. Seven of those came last season, as he helped his side to a second place finish in the Premier League.
He won the Liverpool Player of the Year Award in 2012 and was part of the team that won the League Cup in 2012, scoring in the final against Cardiff City.
His wife Barbora Skrtel posted the first of the two pictures below, commenting: “Love can be full of doubt but when I look around, I realize that being around you is the most beautiful life possible. Happy Birthday Martin.”
Skrtel responded with his own snap, and added: “Thanks to my lovely wife Barbora for the great day, I love you. Thank you all for the bday wishes!!!”
