While we’re in desperate need of a new no.1, Valdes chose to join our rivals – despite the fact he’ll be 2nd choice behind the excellent David de Gea.
Congratulating United on the deal, former Red Jamie Carragher couldn’t help but subtly suggest that the transfer actually means that De Gea is on his way to Real Madrid!
Victor Valdes is a very good signing for Man Utd. Be interesting to see how much De Gea eventually costs Real Madrid though.
