How many stars will Rodgers rest this evening…?
There’s a Merseyside Derby to be played on Saturday evening, but with Liverpool desperate to lift a trophy this term, we’ll surely select a strong team having failed to best Bolton with the second string last time out…
Here’s who we think Brendan Rodgers might select:

Aaron Lennon really, really didn’t want to sign for Everton!
GK) Simon Mignolet
The keeper’s a certainty to start between the sticks, with young Danny Ward likely to be on the bench because of Brad Jones’s injury.
DRC) Emre Can
Didn’t have his best performance against West Ham last time out, but was still part of a defence that kept a fourth clean-sheet in six matches, and he should take his usual spot on the right of the back-three.
DLC) Mamadou Sakho
Sakho was outstanding last time out, and he’s overcome the injury scare he picked up versus Chelsea. We feel he’ll be selected, but there’s a slight chance Dejan Lovren could get a run-out, instead.
DC) Martin Skrtel
Skrtel was rested for the Bolton draw at Anfield, but is hardly the kind of player who needs to be rested… No other player naturally slots into the central position in the back-three.
