Are Liverpool really interested in the former Manchester United defender? We find it hard to believe…
The Daily Express has taken a wild stab in the dark, and linked us with a summer transfer move for Inter Milan defender Nemanja Vidic, who is of course best known for his nine-year spell with Manchester United.

Their attempted justification for the story is that Inter have confirmed the signing of former Parma defender Felipe dal Belo, in turn edging the Serbian closer to the San Siro exit door.
What they fail to admit is that a 33-year-old defender, who has desperately struggled for form with a mid-table Serie A side, would be unlikely to interest us, regardless of the player’s links to our long-time rivals.
Inter already have Juan, Andrea Ranocchia and Hugo Campagnaro in their squad, meaning they are well stocked on defensive options, while Vidic has only featured in 14 league games this season, scoring once.
Even more hilariously, another Express report – linked to via the initial story – claims that Liverpool would be willing to swap Lucas Leiva with Inter, despite the Brazilian being one of our best players so far this season.
