The 22-year-old Brazilian has been truly sensational so far this season, and it’s great to see him recognised as such in this list of the six best players in the top flight of 2014/15.

He’s scored six goals and provided seven assists so far this campaign in all competitions, turning out 29 times in the top flight.

There has often been no stopping the rapidly developing midfielder, whose silky footwork has regularly proved impossible for opposition teams to deal with.

He’s also developed a welcome habit of scoring some truly world class goals – none better than the two ‘goal of the season’ contenders against Southampton and Manchester City.

The former Inter Milan star joined the Reds for just £8.5m in January 2013 and has undoubtedly proved one of the biggest bargains in our club’s history.
