4) Jordan Henderson – 7.21

Our vice-captain has been playing well this season, with his performances earning him a new long-term contract just last month. The likely successor to Steven Gerrard in wearing the armband, the No. 14 will be looking to come into his own next season and prove he’s capable of big things.

3) Raheem Sterling – 7.30

It’s been a mixed season for the youngster who has seen his own form dip in recent weeks. He’s clearly missed playing alongside Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge but remains our joint-top scorer with 11 goals in all competitions, seven of them coming in the league.

2) Martin Skrtel – 7.30

The Slovakian has stepped up following the recent departures of experienced teammates Jamie Carragher (in 2013) and Daniel Agger (in 2014). He’s not scored the goals that he got so regularly last season but his defensive performances have been as accomplished as always.

1) Philippe Coutinho – 7.38

A magician. Many Premier League fans have questioned his recent PFA nominations and that’s because this a player you need to watch every single week. It’s the little things he does that are so special, surpassing his statistics alone. The team should be built around him moving forward.
