Given Steven Gerrard’s tremendous service to our club over the 17 years, it is no surprise that some fans will do anything to get into Anfield for his final game on Merseyside this Saturday.
The game against Crystal Palace will not be the 34-year-old’s final appearance, as we have a match at Stoke the week after. However, with the season now just about going through the motions – the match against Alan Pardew’s men is realistically a chance to thank our captain for everything he’s done one final time at Anfield.
According to The Independent, some season ticket holders – well aware of the value of their seats at the game – have offered fans unable to get a ticket the chance to buy theirs. Some ticketing companies are listing seats at around £2,500.
Because the club rate this clash as a Category C game, tickets would normally sell for between £37-49.
